Kathleen Ann Goonan (www.goonan.com) is the author of Queen City Jazz, The Bones of
Time, Mississippi Blues, and Crescent City Rhapsody, a finalist for the Nebula Award. She is
also the author of many short stories. Her work has been published in France, Poland, Great
Britain, the Czech Republic, Italy, Russia, Germany, Spain, and Japan. Her latest novel, Light
Music (HarperCollins June 2002) is now available in paperback, and Queen City Jazz was just
reissued in trade paperback by Tor.
Goonan lives in the Florida Keys, where she has many tropical plants.
She is working on a novel about the 1935 Labor Day Hurricane.
