Iris's throat tightened. She took a gulp of wine to loosen it and dug into her
dinner. Both selves beamed at her. She could no longer tell them apart.

In the morning there was a new scrawny starved self in the bed with the rest

them, and it was crying.

Overnight, the population of the city expanded. Trails of crumbs led the lost
home.
