Hamilton felt a cold chill creeping up his neck.

The man was mad. It was again in his eyes, with the look of death and hopelessness. Ever since the use
of the first atomic bomb on Japan, men had dreaded that someday, in some country, a madman would be
in a position to push the button. This, Hamilton felt, with a despair that made him want to strike out, was
