Vicki ran down her whole history before Deacon reached the state line.

The ride was punctuated by occasional static from the CB radio, words she could just barely make out.

Deacon explained to Vicki that he liked to preach over the citizensтАЩ band radio. A lot of drivers were
scared and curious since the vanishings.

тАЬI take a lot of heat for it from some. They tell me to put a lid on it or save it for Sunday, but itтАЩs way too

Vicki nodded.
