Aaniin "Aanen" (Ojibway) -- Hello

Anishinaa'beg "Anishinaa'be" (Ojibway) -- The name the Ojibway call themselves. Ani, means from
whence, nishina means lowered, abe means male of the species. The Ojibway believed that they were
created then lowered to the earth by the Creator (Edward Benton- Benai). It is also translated to mean
