Daniel was halfway home and trying to take a short nap when
one of the shuttleтАЩs ratings spoke softly and handed him the message
form. It only took a second for mankindтАЩs absolute ruler to come fully
awake. As he scanned the message his eyes narrowed a little and
the faint scar across his face reddened.
