Judd swung by the house and picked upPhoenix. They took him to the hill above the hospital.
Lionel held one of RyanтАЩs shirts, andPhoenixsniffed it excitedly. Judd and Vicki watched as the dog
yanked Lionel toward the yellow police tape surrounding the rescue site.

тАЬRyan was here,тАЭ Judd said.

тАЬGetPhoenixto turn around.тАЭ

Lionel tried to dragPhoenixfrom the tape, but the dog barked andraised up on his hind legs, straining
against the leash. Vicki held out RyanтАЩs shirt and gotPhoenixback on the trail.

They reached the top and continued down the other side of the hill.Phoenixled them to the middle of a
residential street. Bits of broken plastic lay on the ground.

тАЬThere are marks on the road back here too,тАЭ Lionel said.
