A few minutes later Nina called. Judd told her how close the bombings were and the situation with Ryan.

тАЬWe have seen none of the violence the rest of the world is experiencing,тАЭ Nina said.

тАЬBut the pressure on my father is intense. I have talked with my mother about plans to come toAmerica,
and she is open to it. Does the offer still stand?тАЭ

тАЬYou bet,тАЭ Judd said, knowing their money troubles were increasing. He pushed the thought away and
said, тАЬWeтАЩll work it out. You just get here.тАЭ

тАЬIf my father gives the okay, we could be there as soon as next week.тАЭ

Vicki and Lionel approached with puzzled looks.

white house across the street.
