"Look, Doctor," Haney said, pointing to the forehead. "The row of scars from the
crown of thorns."
"It really is him, isn't it?" Gleason said from behind his camera as he snapped
away.
Wyan walked to the front of the sarcophagus. "You see the bas-relief here?" He
directed Bernstein's attention to the glasslike cover.
"Yes, it looks like a map," Bernstein remarked as he ran his fleshy hands over
the cover of the sarcophagus.
"A stellar map, Doctor, if I'm not mistaken," Haney stated, pointing. "Here's
our Sun, Venus, Mars, Earth, and the Moon. "
"And it indicates very clearly that whoever left this here originated from the
planet Mars," Bernstein added.
"Look at these artifacts that lie next to the body. I've never seen anything
like them," Haney said.
"Yes," Wyan remarked, "and when we reveal this to the world, we will be able to
link Jesus together with the alien race that built this sarcophagus and this
chamber, for it was they who aided in his resurrection and enabled him to become
the Christ in the first place."
"This is the body of a man well over thirty-three years old, and the wounds have
healed over into scars. So it is true, then, that he lived through the ordeal of
crucifixion? " Gleason asked, letting his shutter finger take a rest fora
moment.
"Correct, he never succumbed to death," Wyan said. "I mentioned Longinus, the
Roman centurion in charge of the crucifixion. He did not allow the spear to
penetrate very deep. After Longinus pronounced him dead, Joseph of Arimathea
took him down from the cross and carried him to the tomb, where the Watchers
resuscitated him. Are you aware that there is a holographic film of the entire
event from the beginning of the crucifixion until the resurrection?"
"I've heard of that from other members of our group, but never spoken to anyone
who's seen it," Bernstein remarked.
"We'll have to arrange a viewing for you," Wyan replied, then continued, "Jesus
then recovered, married, and sired children."
"The Desposyni, or heirs of the Lord, his descendants, are alive today," Kenson
added.
"You'll find certain DNA matches will be very interesting," Wyan declared.
"We've arranged a sample from the Shroud of Turin to compare it to ...
unofficially, of course. We must be careful, however, in how we present this."
"But that is why we're all here, isn't it?" Bernstein replied. "We've been
trained for something like this by your group for a long time, even though we
didn't begin to grasp the full picture until now." He gestured toward the
lifeless body. "The tomb, the body, and these artifacts, coinciding with the
reappearance of the Bethlehem star, should sway the delegates."
"That is what we're counting on," Wyan began, "but men are primitive in their
beliefs. They cling to their established religious doctrine with its many
falsehoods. Some have helped suppress the truthЧthe extraterrestrial
intervention with the human raceЧout of fear and their desire to avoid panic.
There are some who will try to hinder all that we are trying to accomplish."
Silence settled in the tomb as Bernstein and the members of his team mulled over
what Wyan had said.
Wyan broke the silence. "There is one last matter: an area near here that must
