We are releasing TWO simultaneous versions of this etext; if you
are familiar with methods of comparing two similar etexts with a
difference in pagination and margination, please let us know, as
we are still trying to perfect methods of comparison.

This choice was made by popular demand for a seasonal literature
release, and several other books are being considered: Dracula,
Frankenstain and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, as Halloween classics.

Please let us know of any errors you find in any of these books.
We call improved editions of etexts "editions" and the first one
released to the general public is usually numbered 10th edition.
"Version" is used to mark separate books being put into etext in
which case we have used a very different paper book, sometimes a
different translation, etc. Versions are labeled by a different
name: aesop10 was our first version of Aesop's Fables.
name: aesop11 is going to be the eleventh edition of this etext.
name: aesopa10 is the second version of Aesop's Fables.
name: aesopa11 is going to be the eleventh edition of that.

Post-Industrial Production

We produce about one million dollars for each hour we work. One
hundred hours is a conservative estimate for how long it we take
to get any etext selected, entered, proofread, edited, copyright
searched and analyzed, the copyright letters written, etc. This
projected audience is one hundred million readers. If our value
per text is nominally estimated at one dollar, then we produce a
million dollars per hour; next year we will have to do four text
files per month, thus upping our productivity to two million/hr.
The Goal of Project Gutenberg is to Give Away One Trillion Etext
Files by the December 31, 2001. [10,000 x 100,000,000=Trillion]
This is ten thousand titles each to one hundred million readers.
