ALL I EVER NEEDED TO KNOW I LEARNED FROM HORROR MOVIES
Obtained from the Internet and edited for us by Scott Dixon (SRDixon)

When it seems that you've killed the monster, never check to see if it's
really dead.

Never search the basement alone, especially when the power has just gone
out.

If your children speak to you in Latin or any other language which they do
not know, shoot them at once. NOTE: it is unlikely they will die easily, so
be prepared.

Do not take (or borrow) anything from the dead.

When running from the monster, expect to trip and fall at least twice -
more if you are female.

Never try to communicate with something icky because "there's so much we
can learn from them".

If you find a town that looks deserted, it's probably that way for a
reason.

Strange lights are seldom the harbingers of joy.

Never bathe in the house alone.

When fighting the monster, never rely on anything more sophisticated than
a pointed stick. Inexplicably, motors will not turn over, generators will
run out of power, and all guns will jam.

Keep in mind that your pet can take care of itself. So can your spouse.
And your kids. If worst comes to worst, you can always get new ones.

Empty houses are always easier to get in to, than out of.
